Head to wintry New York City, where you’ll have plenty of time to discover its unique culture and diversity, as well as visit one of the biggest tourist attractions in the world — Broadway! Andrew Lloyd Webber brings profound heart and passion to School of Rock, for which well-known critics have been raving. The story follows the travails, hopes and adventures of Dewey Finn, an aspiring but frustrated wannabe rock star who goes to work as a substitute teacher at a preparatory school to make ends meet. He proceeds to transform a class of “goody two shoes” kids into an impressive rock band. A love story emerges between Finn and the most unlikely of women – the rather stoic headmistress. This accomplished theatrical wonder masterfully presents not only the great songs from the movie, but 14 tremendous new songs by Webber. Critics have raved that this highly engaging and satisfying production has taken Broadway to grand new heights.

In your free time, take in the sights and sounds of NYC. Use your ample leisure time to delve into distinct areas of Manhattan, including Central Park, uptown, Harlem, Chinatown and Little Italy — and so much more. Grand Central Terminal is also a must-see.

What we love:

• The Winter Garden Theatre has interesting origins as a converted horse exchange building that had once been at the real center of the horse and carriage trade in NYC.
• New York City is considered the world’s mecca for visual, dance, music, film and theater arts.
